When the Benjamin Companies undertook the extensive renovation of the 14 apartment buildings on our campus, they enlisted the expertise of the Bayview team to develop a plan for revitalizing the campus landscape. While the campus boasts a beautiful canopy of mature deciduous trees that provide ample shade, there was a need to enhance the pedestrian-friendly landscape with more vibrant colors and visual interest.

The master landscape plan was meticulously crafted to incorporate a foundation of evergreen plants, ensuring year-round softening of the architectural features of the renovated buildings. Additionally, low-maintenance flowering shrubs and perennial flowers were strategically layered to create a delightful sequence of blooms throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons.
A key consideration in plant selection was the use of native species, chosen for their resilience to both drought and saturation, and their ability to support a thriving ecosystem of pollinators. As a result, residents now experience lush, ever-changing gardens adorned with plants such as Viburnum, Daylily, Butterfly Bush, Bee Balm, Sedum, and St. Johnswort, among others.
We are delighted to see how these enhancements have transformed the campus into a more vibrant and welcoming environment for all who live here.
