Open Positions

  • Responsibilities:

    1. Contribute to the design and development of real projects, including schematic design maps, base maps, zoning research, plant palette presentations, and color renderings.

    2. Assist with client-facing Proposal Presentation sets and ensure that documents meet project-specific requirements.

    3. Participate in behind-the-scenes tasks, such as maintaining the archival system, enhancing the client database, and improving our design resource library.

    4. Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects using tools like AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Asana for task management.

    5. Occasional involvement in client meetings, site analysis, and presentations.

    6. Shadow various team members to gain exposure to different aspects of landscape architecture.

    Qualifications:

    1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Landscape Architecture (Junior or Senior standing preferred).

    2. Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD.

    3. Preferred: Experience with Adobe InDesign, Sketchup, and other Adobe Creative Suite programs.

    4. Strong attention to detail and an interest in sustainable design.

    5. Passion for learning and a collaborative mindset.

    6. Bonus: A taste for craft beer (optional, but appreciated!).

    Time Period:

    1. 2 days per week for approximately 12 weeks, aligning with school semesters if needed.

    2. Preferred in-person work at our Long Island City studio, 10 am-6 pm.

    Compensation:

    1. MTA card provided for transportation.

    2. $17/hour.

    Development Opportunities:

    1. Gain hands-on experience with real client projects.

    2. Work directly with senior designers and project managers.

    3. Professional development opportunities, including attending webinars or industry events.

    4. Weekly feedback sessions with a designated mentor to track your progress.
