Uplifting
Roslyn Heights, New York
Nestled in the Roslyn Heights suburb, the "Uplifting" design maximizes all the usable space in the owners' backyard.
A series of outdoor rooms with distinct uses flow seamlessly together. The pool is elevated above the existing grade to create an infinity edge water feature enjoyed from every window along the back of the house. When outside, the sound of cascading water creates soothing white noise.

After Dark Landscape Lighting
Bare feet stay cool on the travertine paved terraces and walkways, and the stone creates a common thread throughout each unique space. Hampton Brown Wave natural stone compliments the travertine, and beautiful 2" thick slabs make the perfect choice for pool coping, wall caps, and a polished bar counter. The cabana features a covered open air bar, fire lounge, bathroom, and storage. Details from the main residence, including a vaulted exposed beam ceiling, are repeated in the cabana to unite the two structures.
Pool time includes choices for people looking to soak in the spa, swim laps, play in the shallow end, or relax with a cold drink while partially submerged at one of the sunken pool stools. Lush plantings of hydrangea, roses, crape myrtle, and ornamental grasses make for a beautiful summer landscape, and lighting throughout the property extends the homeowner's enjoyment of the yard well into the night.
